DELA Community Development Initiative (DCDI) is a registered Community-Based Organization in Uganda, working with children and young people in Kitgum Municipality, Kitgum District, Northern Uganda. We create practical opportunities for children and youth to learn, develop their talents, build confidence, and participate meaningfully in their communities.
Who We Are
DCDI is a grassroots, community based organization rooted in Ayul C Cell, Pager Division, Kitgum Municipality, Kitgum District. We work closely with children, young people, families, volunteers, and community stakeholders to support positive development through education, music, creative expression, and talent development.

Our Mission
To promote child and youth development through music, education, and community-based programs that build confidence, discipline, creativity, and life skills.
The Acholi sub region in Northern Uganda continues to address the long-term social and economic effects of conflict, including poverty, disrupted education, and limited opportunity for young people. DCDI responds at the community level, creating positive spaces where children can learn, express themselves, and grow. Learn more about us.

We bring children together through music, singing, dance, cultural expression, poetry, and storytelling, it builds confidence, discipline, teamwork, and creativity along the way.

We welcome collaboration with community leaders and local authorities, schools, faith-based institutions, NGOs and development partners, community groups, and individuals who share our interest in child and youth development.
